Mount Roar is the official app of Mount St. Joseph University helps Mount students to form connections within the campus community. The app was developed by students - for students.
Everyone at the Mount is dedicating to supporting the success of our students. In efforts to improve student access to campus departmental support services in the virtual paradigm induced by the COVID-19 pandemic, a platform was developed in order to connect students with various resources, enable remote chatbot interactions, and offer both virtual and on-site appointment scheduling.
In partnership with the Ohio Department of Education and Three Rivers Health Centers efforts to reduce infant mortality in the state of Ohio, cITe scholars have worked on designing and developing a resource navigation tool paired with educational content aiming to connect mothers in need with crucial access to pre-natal and post-partum resource and support services.
The Cicada Safari mobile application is a Citizen Scientist Project developed here at the Mount. It is aimed at mapping the emergence of Periodical Cicadas and has been developed to collect scientific data. At the forefront of innovation, this project collects crowd-sourced, visual gps-tagged data to enhance the scientific community’s understanding of periodical cicada emergence patterns. Gene Kritsky, a renowned Cicada expert has spearheaded the development of this project.
